Biography

Ph.D. in Architecture, Head of Department “The Higher School of Lighting Design” at ITMO University, creative association of lighting designers RULD and Art & Science cluster at ITMO University. Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the international research-to-practice conference “Lighting Design”. One of the leading Russian experts in the field of lighting design, laureate of the National Award in Literature and Arts (Nomination “Architecture and design”, 2014).

Education and work experience

Graduated in Architecture and Design from Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov (SSTU). Has more than 10 years’ work experience in the field of an urban lighting. 

Among the main projects:

- concept of Sochi Olympic Park lighting;

- concept of lighting for protected areas around the Kremlin (including the ensemble of the Moscow Kremlin);

- concept of creation the architectural and stylistic image of night Saint-Petersburg.

Research work since 2008

Researches the quality of lighting environment of the evening cities.

Educational work since 2011

Since 2015 to present, works as a Head of Department "The Higher School of Lighting Design” at ITMO University.

2014-2015, lecturer of the master's program at Department of Solid State Optoelectronics of ITMO University.

2011–2013, lecturer at department “Design of architectural environment” of Moscow Institute of Architecture (State Academy).
